So today, I was on Twitter and saw a funny post from Needtobreathe about a warehouse they would be rehearsing in. The post said that they wouldn't have enough room to rehearse, which made it funny because the picture of the warehouse showed that the place was gy-normous. Anyway, someone had commented how you could fit 40 elephants in this particular warehouse...totally trying to be funny, of course! So what did I do? Obviously I had to come back with some witty comment. So I proceed to say something like this: "...or you could fit 62 Rhinos. I hear that is the going rate these days, 40 elephants=62 Rhinos...Your choice." Now I am anxiously awaiting a re-tweet from Needtobreathe. I'm holdin' out 'til it happens.
I have a lot of stupid stuff like that to tell, but I won't bore you with it. Truth is, most of you (those who actually read this) are laughing in a half-hearted manner by this time while thinking to yourself, "JT is soooo strange." Sadly, the other half to that truth is that I am aware of my strangeness and simply do not care.
It is because of this fact that I often find myself laughing, sometimes uncontrollably at my own jokes... or just my general mannerisms or lifestyle. In my mind, I think it is healthy to laugh at yourself. Because then, you don't have to worry about making other people laugh! Odds are, if you are laughing at yourself, then you either 1) are stinkin' hilarious and what you said is making everyone else around you laugh as well, or b) everyone else starts laughing because they find it funny that you are actually laughing at yourself. Either way, everyone laughs, which is a great thing!
Alrighty, after a one year hiatus, I have posted.... three cheers! Hip-hooray! Hip-hooray! Hip-Hooray!
